o 3 garlic cloves, minced
1 big onion, chopped
o ½ cup crushed tomatoes
o ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
o 1 tsp salt
o 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
o 1 tsp turmeric
o 1 tbsp. garam masala
o ½ tsp cumin
o ½ tsp coriander
o ½ tsp cayenne pepper
o ½ tsp smoked paprika
o ½ tsp lemon zest
o 1 tsp brown sugar
o 2 tbsp. oil
o ½ cup beef stock
Step 1
Add 1 tbsp. oil in a pressure cooker, Add chopped onions, garlic, spices, salt and pepper.
Cook until onions become translucent, for about 3 minutes.
Step 2
Then stir in the crushed tomatoes, brown sugar and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into the food processor and blend all into a paste.
Step 5
Add the remaining 1 tbsp. oil and brown the meat on all sides. Pour in the blended spice paste, stock and add lemon zest.
Cover and cook for 4 whistles.
Step 6
Serve this incredibly tender and flavorful beef masala curry with steamed rice and chopped cilantro.
